Charges against Mr. P. A. Remedios.

That you did knowingly authorise and incite two

persons unknown to the Postal Authorities (viz, your son and

your cook) to enter the General Post Office Sorting Office

at 4'45 P.M. on Sunday the lith instant contrary to the express

instructions of the Postmaster General exhibited on the doors

of the Post Office.

2. That you being the officer in charge of and having

the custody of the key of the entrance door of the Registra-

tion and Parcel Branch and also of the key of the the insured

letter safe did wilfully and negligently hand over these two

keys to the said two persons unconnected with the General

Post Office for your own purposes on Sunday the 11th between

the hours of 4 and 6 P.M. thereby enabling such persons to

enter the Registration Branch and open the said safe.

3. That you being in charge of a Government safe did

keep your own private money in such safe contrary to General

Order 368.
